Most small-business accounting tools let you save something that does not balance and reconcile it later. UrusHQ will not. An unbalanced journal is refused at the point of posting, so the trial balance is never something you have to go and repair before year end.
Every posting runs through one canonical path that sums debits and credits and throws if they differ. There is no override and no “suspense” account quietly absorbing the difference, so a trial balance that foots is a property of the system rather than the result of someone tidying up.
Once a month is closed, nothing back-dates into it. A correction is an adjustment posted in an open period that references the original entry, which means last month’s reports do not silently change after you have sent them to a lender or a shareholder.
A financial change writes the business record, the balanced journal and the audit row inside a single database transaction. Either all three land or none of them do — you never end up with an invoice that exists but was never posted.
A recurring failure in small-business accounting software is the report that disagrees with the ledger because it was computed down a separate path. In UrusHQ the trial balance, the balance sheet and the profit-and-loss statement are all derived from the same posted journals, so they cannot drift apart from each other. Each is exportable as a PDF for a financier, an auditor or a board pack.
Journals are individually addressable and reviewable, so when a figure in a report looks wrong you can open the entry behind it and read what was posted, when, and by whom. Alongside the core statements the module covers the chart of accounts, adjustments, contra entries, fixed assets and their disposal, period close and reopen, and year-end close.
You import a bank statement as CSV. UrusHQ then proposes matches against your open invoices using three deterministic rules — an exact amount match, a reference match where the invoice number appears in the payment narration, and a fuzzy match on close amounts and similar customer names — and scores each suggestion with a confidence figure so you can see why it was offered.
You confirm the match; the software does not post to your ledger on a guess. There is no machine-learning model in this path, and we do not describe it as AI, because it is ordinary rule-based matching and you are entitled to know which one you are buying.

Direct bank feeds are not connected. UrusHQ has no open-banking integration with any Malaysian bank today, so reconciliation begins with a statement you export from your own online banking. When a feed does ship, this page will say so and name the provider.
Registered businesses file a bi-monthly SST-02 return. UrusHQ prepares it from the same posted journals behind your trial balance and keeps a record of each filing, so the figure you submit and the figure in your accounts have one origin. The return is produced as a PDF you can check line by line before anything is filed.
Tax rates and thresholds are configuration, not opinion — where a rate has not been confirmed for your business, UrusHQ says so rather than defaulting to a number and letting you discover the difference at audit.
Accounting, e-invoicing and payroll post into one ledger, so an invoice cleared through MyInvois and a payroll run land in the same trial balance rather than three systems you reconcile by hand.
